When does ms progress ?

Hi everyone, I know that everyone with ms will progress at some point and I understand that the level “progression” varies for each individual. But I also don’t understand is for example when it starts processing, when does it stop? Does it peter out? Or do you carry on progressing until you die? Or does it stop after so long and then you just live with how you are? How does that work. I’m currently RRMS, newly diagnosed. I do struggle with the unknown! as I’m sure we all do. But I do like to try and have a answer in my mind to tell myself (positive) preferably

I tend to think MS will take what it likes, when it likes, and impossible to predict in advance. It might help to make some lifestyle changes and improve general health, but that’s about it.
Sorry it’s not much use.

Hello.
This is a tall order…no-one can predict how anyone’s MS will progress.
I guess it is something the majority of us wonder about.

In my own case, I started with typical PPMS symptoms ie incontinence, falls, stiffness and spasms. The mobility worsened and I needed a wheelchair part time in the 2nd year.

I have been unable walk for 20 years, needed hoisting 10 years.

My left arm and hand have been problematic for 3 years.

I often choke on saliva…3 years…

So try not to plot your journey eh?
