Actually Derek I have issues with the speed I keep hinting that it needs to be a bit faster, 8 miles an hour just doesn’t cut it when you are in the middle of the road turning right and you have a bus behind you being up close and personal! I did have a lot of problems at first, this is my third Sport Rider, they kept having problems and can be a little temperamental. However, Derek the Third seems to be behaving and has gained celebrity status in the village! Mind you it’s a bit cold to use him at the moment, you need bicycle clips on your trousers to stop the draft making your legs go dead, they might be unreliable (legs that is) but I do like to know they are still attached.
At 8 miles an hour, Derek The Third would be leaving Derek-rubbish-legs miles behind. I also use a scooter (I prefer to call it a quad bike) for getting around the garden. Don’t use it much on the roads though. Haven’t been out at all though for a week or so because of the cold and the snow.

Two stick day today folks! Been in bed for a lot of time lately, nothing stopping me going out this morning. Wow, such beauty, such dangerous floor! Had a nice walk round the corner and to the shop, for once there was no traffic and I could hear all the birds up the road. It was like the 70s,
