I am struggling with foot drop after walking for approx 10 mins I have to stop and can’t continue. It’s been like this since August. I’m struggling so much. I’m 41 with 3 children under 5. I can’t give them the life I wanted to. Was only diagnosed ms last August

Have you tried to ask about having an FES (a functional electrical stimulator) which lifts the front of your foot? It’s not available on the NHS in all areas. If not, there are various orthotics which attach to your ankle and shoe.

Can you ask your MS nurses to refer you to neuro physio?
I started with that, I then got referred for both neuro orthotics and for a FES machine by the physios. So I ended up with a foot lift strappy device and also a FES machine which I can alternate between (the FES is the best though). I can walk so much better now for a long time.

Another vote for FES here. Ask your GP to refer you for assessment.
