Undiagnosed attacks...

Hi, I’m currently undiagnosed, had 1st attack just over a year ago. Had lots of symptoms since but no clear cut attack so to speak. Am I right in thinking that going this long without a clear attack like the 1st I had is a good thing?

Bit difficult to say really. It’s possible to have a second attack at any time, even decades later, but the severity of MS tends to be worse in people who have lots of relapses in the first couple of years (this was before DMDs though and was not always the case anyway). I know it’s incredibly hard, but do try and get on with your life as if you will never have another attack. Life is too short to waste even a moment worrying about something that might never happen. And even if it does, MS is NOT the end of the world; life can still be good. Karen x

Hi Anon,

One thing I would do is to take vitd3 1000iu - 5000iu and vitB12 100mcg. I wish I had four years ago. I went two years without an attack, hadn’t been diagnosed. This year I have had two. I am going to go on DMDs in the New Year.

Good luck.
