sounds tough. You should not be forced out by folks who do not understand the reality of your condition. I wonder if their attitude would be the same if the term cancer was relevant. It is very difficult for people who do not live with a chronic condition to put themselves in our shoes. Our job is to help them understand without being irritating which is quite difficult. You might have to tailor your explanations to each different person. Provided your employer is satisfied with your work the other people need to cut you some slack.
