Through menopause and anxiety

Hi everyone,

I have rrms, been diagnosed since 2010.
I have been told by the doctor that i have gone through menopause (blood test done) I have been getting anxious, and extremely anxious now that my head mri is due in a few weeks. I dont like the cage they put over your head. Can anxiety be due to drop in hormone levels. As i have had quite a few mri and not been so anxious, i am also anxious on a daily basis. So dont totally down to mri, but mri has made me extremely anxious.

Any help or advise please ?

The menopause could very much increase your anxiety. Do you have time to discuss sedation or other medications that may help? There are tools on the internet that could help with mindfulness and tricks to cope in anxious situations as well as over the counter remedies.

I hope they scan goes well for you!

Heck yes it can! HRT has been a blessing for me.

For sure it can, I’m 64 now and supposed to be through it, but my anxiety hasn’t decreased at all, not sure it will now :see_no_evil:
