Hi,
I have recently been diagnosed with RRMS and commenced on Tecfidera 2 weeks ago… I have been suffering with constant headaches and big migraine attacks with aura. I have requested 2 more weeks of half dose 120mg as I am nervous to increase dose due to these headaches…
My MS nurse doesn’t think the headaches are related but I do…
Wondered if anyone else has experienced this? Or could this just be an MS thing?
I have been so hydrated and probably the most relaxed I’ve been in ages! So I don’t understand

So sorry you’re having headaches. It maybe
your brain getting used to the new meds. I went through same thing back in 2015 when I started to take it.
I was advised by my neurologist that the higher dose twice per day is far more effective in relation to preventing relapses and luckily did sort itself out eventually. I haven’t had a relapse since then either.
You will eventually accept this has to be done for my mind and body to adjust but you won’t regret that a tablet form over injections is a game charger. Msg me anytime

That puts my mind at rest that someone else has experienced headaches…
I have had another 2 weeks of the half dose delivered now as I was nervous to increase it yet?
I am still in the middle of a relapse, still have numbness in my arms, fingertips and breasts and occasional pins and needles mostly in my feet nd legs… so hard to tell if things are the MS now or tecfidera!
