Strange walk.

I’m getting worse week on week. Very slow walking. This evening I’ve started walking stamping side to side. I’m very confused because I look at videos on YouTube but none show my gaite or walking pattern.

Hello. Have you been diagnosed with MS? I ask because formerly, I was wrongly diagnosed with HSP, which is more about difficult walking issues.

I’ve had a brain MRI and lower lumber spine MRI which I requested. Doctor has said nothing showing. I think I need an MRI higher up my back. Also I’ve just been given my first neurologist appointment for October coming. My legs get worse each month

Are you in the U.K. using the NHS?

Who ordered the MRIs? While sometimes symptoms would indicate that only a scan of the brain was required it seems very odd to do a brain and lower spine. I believe the upper spine may be included as part of the brain scan.

You should try and engage with the doctors who are in charge of your care. Neurological problem are very complex and not all of them are MS.

While Dr Google may help, it really does not have a great record and neither do we!

My doctor after many stumbles and falls sent me to a gait clinic, oh yes there is such a thing.

Unfortunately for me, my legs decided they were not playing ball and the spasms in my legs put pay to the testing.

Might be worth, if you don’t get a diagnosis of ms, asking if you could be sent. The clinician takes lots of readings, which may lead to other interventions.

Sorry can’t add much else, just another avenue to pursue.

Hi crd. I asked the doctor for a head MRI about 5 months ago. He said the report was normal. I Then I was looking at Ms spasticity on YouTube so I asked him if I could have MRI on lower lumber spine because my legs are very bad below my hips. But this has shown no problems on my results

Are you in the U.K. using the NHS or not? Is the doctor a neurologist or a general practitioner?

Do you have a MS diagnosis? The people on this site are experts by experience on MS and have no medical knowledge other than this.

Yes I’m in the UK under nhs I’ve only seen my GP so far. Been waiting since March to see a neurologist. I will finally see a neurologist on 13th of October hopefully he will look at my MRI and test me.

Hi again. My MS lesions were so hard to find, it took 22 years. They are in my neck and upper spine.
