Hi, I just wondered if anyone takes Amitriptyline & does it cause you to have blurred vision. I have no problems with vision when reading etc but as soon as I go on computer with a large screen the text is blurry, I have been taking 70mg of Amitriptyline for years, maybe its ms?

Hey there, I’d have issues with vision being blurry but it’s mainly when I’ve been overdoing it, I’m not on Amitriptyline - I just put it down to MS

I was on amitriptylene and it caused havoc with my breathing at night, and my heart rate increased, so I stopped taking it. Sadly the fuzzy vision remains a problem, some days worse than others. Have found that changing the background colour sometimes helps as when its not a white background it can be a little easier on the eyes.

Hi, I’ve been on it for severe nerve pain, for 23 years. Neuro says it causes weight gain and tiredness, but I think the pain relief is worth it.
No eye or sight issues for me. Just had an eye health check and no issues.
