rebif!

Well went talk talk about what to take for my ms today, have chosen rebif! should be here in 3 weeks, then i have to give the nurse a call! Nervous but happy to get things sorted! Whats peoples views on rebif, the little computer injector should make life easier! Im not looking forward to possible side effects though!

It’s good stuff or did work for me, yeah you may feel a bit stiff and achy for a month or so but that will wear off.

Just stock up on ibuprofen and Paras I found mixing worked best for me and taking rebif at night so you sleep of most of it.

No site injection issues either unlike lumps you get with copaxone.

Good luck with it

Hi there I got dx in December last year and took my first dose of rebif yesterday’, my nurse helped me do it at 11am, 4 hrs later the side effects got me and got me bad, I was layed up on the sofa all day and all night with what felt like full blown flu, I didn’t think I was ever gonna stop the pain, so I went to sleep at 10pm and slept like a log, got up at 6am with the babies and felt abit gogery, but I could move and didn’t have that much pain, by 8.30am I was back to normal, I couldn’t believe it, all the pain was over, so I stayed at home all day just in case the pain come back and it hasn’t, yesterday I said to my partner I will never take another injection of rebif, but today I feel fine so I’m happy to take tomorrow dose, but I’m gonna take it at night this time, hopping I sleep through the side effects. Just thought I would share my story with you. Lisa.

Iv been using rabif since January, and I really haven’t noticed any difference haven’t had any side affects, only when I use before bed, then have problem walking in morning for a while, but was told its to slow the progression, how do you know? Iv never had a relapse going by what iv heard its like, so I think they are just giving me stuff so I don’t moan they are not doing anything, lol lets hope it works for you, G.

Listening to the stories of side affects? I really had nothing. Is that because I’m only on 22mg. Low not 44mg ??

Hi g I started 22mgs yesterday and had a really bad time of it, I just think I’m one of the unlucky ones as always lol. But I’m happy for you not getting any side effects.

I’ve been on 44mgs rebif since the end of January - the flu like symptoms get easier. The nurse told me to take paracetamol and ibuprofen when I injected. At home I inject Mon, Weds & Fri before bed so sleep through most of it although some days I feel a bit achey in the morning following the injecton but it goes away. I am trying to figure ot if there’s a pattern to it - whether it’s when I inject in a certain place or side. It gets easier so hang in there

Hi I have been on rebif for nearly a year. Side effects have been minimal in terms of flu like effects … I have rarely taken painkillers since starting. I do get some sore sites but if the rebif is doing its job I’ll put up with them. Good luck x

Thank you, i guess its really not something you can base on other people is it! I plan to take it at night so i can sleep through anything not nice, i guess when the nurse comes to, dont do it on a day i have work!
