Hi all my consultant did a few blood tests as since being on fingolimod I have felt really terrible. I know it’s like a chemotherapy in a tablet but I don’t think they even thought I would feel so rotten. They’ve done thyroid which has come back low end of normal but my prolactin is below 39 instead of 102 and wondered if anyone knew anything about it as they’ve sort of left it and not done anything about it. Ideas anyone or should I just forget about it? Thanks
Hiya. My prolactin level is above 1000 but they aren’t sure why still. Don’t know fits something to do with the rebif or not. Not sure wat you should do except maybe query why it might be low and could it cause any problems. Kate x x
Thanks Tenaka. I’m not sure if it will affect the thyroid as it is made by the pituitary gland which controls the thyroid. Have you had your thyroid function checked?
Hiya, Yep they checked it all,even the possibility of medications affecting it. Had an MRI and they couldn’t see any issues with the pituitary gland. Kate x x

Not at the mo to be honest, but there’s a lot of stress at home. Being referred to endocrinology to see if they can help. Kate x x
Sorry you are not feeling well. Good idea to see endocrinology. Think just because tests negative they look at other things about thyroid. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon
