I am curious as I just found out another family member just diagnosed with Ms as well
1:450 chance in UK getting MS in the general population
1:80 of a son getting it
1:40 of a daughter getting it
1:20 if a sibling gets it, including non-identical twin
1:5 for an identical twin.
Apparently, non-direct relatives are considered irrelevant. My aunt had MS.
Hi janetleigh
I and my Mother both have MS.
My Mother has had it for 35 years and myself 12 so far.
Apparently its only 2% of people who get it passed on by a parent. So I feel very special been in the two percent club!
My eldest brother had MS, his daughter has MS and I have MS.
