Happy Monday all, i hope you are well! I have had to come off my pregabalin as it wasnt agreeing with me. It worked great for my symptoms but gave me terrible heartburn/trapped wind. Only been off it a few days and I am starting to feel rubbish again. Back to burning in my legs, pain in my hands etc but the side effects from the tablets are still with me. Feel like I could curl up into a ball and stop in bed all day but with work its not an option (thank god its only a three day week this week) Has anyone else had this problem with pregabalin? Thanks in advance. Sam xx
Hi, I`m on pregabalin…but it hasnt worked for the thing I took it for…pai full heels in bed. I began on 75mg and got up to 225mg and still no help…
BUT…
it immediately took away a strange pain in my abdomen, that no-one could find out what caused it.
So now keep to 75mg…I have no side effects.
About your heartburn/trapped wind. I take lansoprazole for acid refux/indegestion…I am wondering if it would help you?
luv Pollx
Old saying I try to live by: Wherever you may be, let your wind go free. Or, get a dog and blame it on him…!
my nana used to say
"let the wind blow free, wherever it be,
church or chapel, let it rattle"
but if one of us did exactly that in church she’d have gone mad!

I was prescribed Omprozole to take with the pregabalin as it helps prevent heart burn etc, Maybe ask GP to prescribe something like that xx
Haha thanks all! I have no problem burping all day but the pain it causes is so annoying. Iv woken up this morning with pain in the left hand side of my chest and right shoulder blade and my heartbeat was going crazy. I dont know if im having panic attacks or what but my doctor said my heart sounds healthy. I wasnt offered anything to go with the pregabalin I was just told to wean myself off so I have and now the chest pains are worse xx
Hi
I was on Pregabalin and came off it because fo the side effects I was experiencing. Although they were not like the side effects you are describing, weak muscles and mushy head predominantly in my case.
I have weaned myself off and was initially worse when I came off it. It took about a week fo the side effects to disappear. However there is also the possibility that Pregabalin is not causing your symptoms.
I have taken the decision to stay off Pregabalin, the side effects are worse than the original symptoms which I can cope with.
If you are concerned then you need to go back to see your GP. I hope this sorts itself out for you soon.

I ended up in A&E last night because the pain was so bad. They put me straight on an ECG and that came back all ok. It would appear its a bad case of acid reflux but they cant understand why Im getting pains in my chest. They said it might be the ms or it could be the pregabalin. But said if it doesnt calm down to go back and see my doctor xx
