Hi Katy,
Yes my appointment was today, I thought I was going to discuss and start treatment but I’m just being sent to a second neurologist.
They are really useful things to think about. Thank you! I’ll definitely write some things down for my next appointment.
My problem is, I don’t actually like/want to think about it. I just want it to go away!!
I’ve got the MS nurses number now though so I’m sure I’ll annoy him!
Thanks again xx
The last three months have been awful.
I have had three main symptoms for about 8 months. Vertigo when standing still but can run ok, slight bladder leaking and some strange tingling in hands and feet.
Went to gp. She referred me to a neuro. In between waiting I went to see a private consultant neurologist discussed symptoms and he did a examination no lateralisimg signs all normal. He referred me for an mri which showed nothing no dylemination or abnormalities on head and full spine. Neuro said I don’t have Ms. I then went to my nhs appointment with a consultant and she said the same based on her exam and mri report that it was not Ms. She also did a nerve conduction study and emg at the hospital all normal this was for legs, arms and spine. Since then I am still concerned as to the symptoms and as a result have booked into see another consultant at the weekend. I also went to a and e at the hospital a month ago and the consultant said he wouldn’t let me out of there if he thought I had it.
I actually feel like I am going mad! So scared and frightened. I have severe anxiety and this has taken over my life. Can anyone tell me if they think I need to accept what I have been told and to stop worrying. If anyone has any thoughts please respond.
thanks
