I am having trouble with mobility and finding it harder to get up and move after anyone sat still. All my muscle no matter how much I stretch is never enough. I can’t walk that far before having to stop. My drop foot is annoying me now and I am waking up with my hands clawed. I have asked about staring Baclofen . I have seen gp who is writing to ms team as not seen a dr or nurse to ask. I was wondering how people have found Baclofen this for them iTunes have symptoms similar to mine? Many thanks rae
It definitely works for curbing spasticity and rigidity.
I’m on 30mg/day but can go to 40mg if needed. Max doses are 60mg I think. When I started, was on 20mg and told to build up slowly: 5mg (1/2 a tablet) > 10 > 20 over a couple of weeks. Don’t go too fast or it could make you woozy.
Hi @rachel.sian.hart I’ve been on this right from the start, for stiffness and spasms.
I was advised right from the start funnily enough from a physio to go gently, they come in 10mg, but have a definite line down the middle, so easy to half, so I started off low, stayed on the same dose for a couple of weeks, then only increased by 5mg and did it this way until I got ot the desired dose, I never had a problem and even my GP and MS nurse said how I did my med was very good, so my advice…go slowly and you’ll be fine, good luck,

Thanks. I was and am worried about side effects and to start and how long take to work and being able to work . That sounds like good advice . Hope you are well .
Hi @rachel.sian.hart I’ve been diagnosed nearly 20yrs and in that time some of the so called professionals have tried to suggest I take a high dose too quickly and I’ve put my foot down, you know you’re own body, it was suggested to me to start on 10mg 3 x a day, the physio thought that was too much too quick, so I did 10mg a day for a couple of weeks and slowly added 5mg over a 4wk period and my body tolerated it, my advise, don’t be pushed,
