Negative oligoclonal bands

Hi there;

Timeline of issues-
Sep 22: MRI 10 spots of white matter found on my brain. Saw neurologist, who completely dismissed my symptoms.

Jan 23: MRI no changes.

Feb 23: negative lumbar puncture test.

Now- neurologist thinks its unlikely to be MS, and i might never know what this white matter could be linked too. So, one last blood test and its likely il be discharged without any diagnosis.

I am struggling with fatigue, pains, headaches, slowed thinking and at times problems with my eyesight.

Is there anything else i can do?
Thanks

Hi Nic30

Have you had visually evoked potential testing? Have you had a cervical spine MRI in addition to the Brain MRI?

I have 3 spots in the white matter of my brain - which have remained the same since 2013; I was diagnosed with MS last year after lesions showed up on my latest spinal MRI.

Hi TheresaB,

Thanks for the reply!

No, i havent requested this they have only ever done MRI scans of my brain, with about 3 months in between the scans which I’ve read doesn’t give enough time for another lesion to develop. I will definitely request this! Thank you
