Linda, I’m so sorry to hear about your Mum, you have my deepest sympathy.
Yes, borrow a wheelchair and make Rachel comfortable, the Red Cross were really helpful when I called - they only ask for a £10 donation to borrow the chair for a week.
I couldn’t read all the thread as it started to make me tearful (I’m at work), these things sadly always seem to crop up at such a memorable time of year. I lost my Nan on Dec 30th about 20 years ago and my younger sister’s still won’t celebrate NYE. We stay in but my folks usually come over
I really hope you’re OK and Rachel is as well as she can be over the Christmas period.
I know it’s gonna be really tough for you this year so I hope you find comfort from those that you love.
Massive hugs - you’ve had a terrible year and I wish I could send you and yours some luck

Thanks everyone, R is actually feeling ok just now. Her numbness does not seem to have come to anything. Cannot wait for this year to be over and hope for a new year, new things (fingers crossed good things) to come. Will not say things can’t get any worse incase life takes that as a challenge. But … Thanks for all your good wishes and hugs. Mum’s funeral is tomorrow and we now have a severe weather warning of gales of up to 90 mph tomorrow. Hope it blows itself out by the time of the funeral. My condolences to those who have also lost a parent, I don’t think it matters what age you are you just sometimes need your mum and I have needed mine but cos of Alzheimers we lost her a long time ago. Thanks again. Lx
That’s good news R is feeling as well as she can at the moment. You will all be in my thoughts tomorrow. Hugs Barney
And mine Love to you all xx
