I check in every day, often multiple times and I have worried too that it is not altogether healthy. At the end of the day though - you wonderful people just GET it. It’s tremendously refreshing to know that both readers and writers understand and that there is no need to worry about upsetting a loved one!
I have shared both trials and triumphs and always benefited from having the other point of view mentioned by someone else. I hope that I have helped in a similar way. In practical terms there is no other group of people who know more or who have experienced more. I used to go on the “ouch” forum and although it was excellent I prefered my daily fix in MS-land.
I have been an active forum member for about 6 years but I have had MS for more than 20, I only wish that I had come on here sooner.
i have been around for 10 years. i was still working driving totally independent. now no work no car and carers to help me with the basics.
i have met some fantastic folk through here-in reality. some are no longer alive, one in nursing home but i am still in touch with many via text and for that i am truly grateful.
i try not to moan about how hard it is for me now because i dont want to scare newbies. i dont check in daily simply because i cant.
i see on another thread something re whammel. all i know is that in person hes lovely and i couldnt care less re view of his politics! take as u find!
i have learnt that finding your own way to deal with ms mentally is essential no matter what issues my body is giving me!
My Doggie is also not so little he’s a 32kg Border Collie/ Retriever cross.
We both had an amazing time at the party. I am paying for it today but I don’t care! I needed to see my Pals and be ME again. Stayed up dancing until 02.30 (did some of it sat down). Slept in my car until 06.00 then came home to bed.
My dog was amazing he has found his own fan club as everyone LOVED him and he was so good I was so proud of my fur baby.
Need to go to work in a bit hope everyone else is having a fab bank holiday.
