My current position is becoming unviable with my MS.
I keep looking for work from home jobs or MS/disability specialist job sites but constantly turn a negative.
Anyone know where I can look next?
I feel your pain, amount of times I have been told ‘get a remote job’ or ‘you will be snapped up soon’ I have lost count. The job market is tough at the minute then through in a disability it just gets tougher.
Only choice you have is to keep on going. It’s not much of a goal i know
Your only choice isn’t to just keep going. Why is it unviable? How long have you worked there and what kind of contract is it?
Have you spoken to them about your MS and have they supported you in any way to this point? They have to do certain things before deeming you unfit for the position. And even then, they can’t just sack you. There are processes they need to go through so it isn’t unfair dismissal.
And potentially exploren medical retirement - doesn’t mean you can’t work ever again elsewhere. You just can’t work for them again. But if it’s unlikely you’ll be able to continue with them now or in the future, it’s something to look at.
