MS Hug on one side?

Hi. I’ve never had ‘the hug’ before but for the past couple of days I’ve had a really bad aches just on the right side of my torso. It feels like a pulled muscle or similar but I’ve not done anything that can cause that. Wondering if you can have the hug on just one side of your body and if this is what it might be?

Hi, I’ve never had “the hug” before either, but like you I’ve had cramp like feelings on one side which I thought might be MS related. I will be interested to see if anyone replies
Take care

Sounds very much like what I started getting about 18 months ago, firstly throbbing at my right temple on my face, then on my right side of torso. The right side is my most affected side by MS as I have very weak mobility, foot drop, all on that side. It got very bad quite quickly, a bit like someone sticking a red-hot knitting needle in my ribs at frequent random times and I couldn’t bear it. I told the MS nurse and they gave me a painkiller called Gabapentin which I now take three times every day and I can feel it wearing off throughout the day. Mine was definitely MS related and when I later had another MRI it did show new lesions which might have caused this. Normal painkillers like paracetamol, ibuprofen or even cocodamol didn’t do anything for this type of pain. Talk to someone who understands MS symptoms as it sounds very much like what I have.
