MRI showing inflamation of myelin awaiting neurologist appointment .... Very concerned

Hello everyone! Hoping for some advice/guidance; I’m 30 a year ago I lost sensation in my feet for a number weeks, found it very difficult to walk over time it resolved itself 12 months later I’ve had double vision to my right now for 8weeks now pain when moving it and touching my right eye, constant headache, pins &needles sensation in my scalp & cheeks when I exercise and sometimes a rash down my arms when I finish exercising not to mention fatigue. Well ophthalmologist couldn’t tell me much other than they can see I have vision problems but they don’t know why so seeing them again 10/3. Today I had results of my MRI and referred to a neurologist as the report said there was inflamation on the myelin sheath when I asked if it was specific to one area the GP said no? I already know I have Charcot Marie tooth which is demyelation of the peripheral nerves this was found by chance and I don’t present with it, it was found through genetic counselling for my daughter. I’m really in limbo as no one will tell me anything…I’m guessing this will be the neurologists job? No one has mentioned MS however, I seem to be ticking boxes? Or is it my imagination?

Hello anon I do think the imagination starts working overtime, in these situations…which is understandable. We start to imagine all sorts of scenarios. Hopefully, when you see the neurologist, things will become clearer. It must be difficult for you, being a busy mum and not feeling well. I hope your getting plenty of support. Let us know how you get on. Take care
