MRI scan results deemed artifiact but ongoing symptoms

Hi,
Looking for any thoughts and advice. Around 5 months ago I fainted and caused myself a head injury that resulted in a trip to A&E, since then I’ve had ongoing headaches particularly on the side of the head injury and altered sensations mainly in my legs but occasionally in my arms aswell. Anytime I touch/itch my skin whether that’s my back, head etc it sends a tingling sensation through my legs - the closest thing I can describe it as is a shiver.

GP put my symptoms down to post concussion syndrome but agreed to send for an MRI. Results from the MRI have been deemed artifact:

‘No significant finding on MR imaging of the brain., There is some high T2 signal within the pons on the stir, imaging sequence but this is not confirmed on T2 or FLAIR, imaging and is therefore likely artifact., Ventricles and CSF spaces are normal., Normal flow voids within the intracranial vessels at the, skull base.’

Is there any chance that the STIR has picked up MS lesions that the Flair has failed to find?
Symptoms are ongoing and not sure where to go next.

Totally out of my depth and knowledge on this one but from a quick online search it does seem as if Flair imagining is good for picking up MS lesions.

No idea, sorry, and none of us have the necessary qualifications of experience as far as I know, or anywhere close. Having said all that, I have found in my own experience that MRI ‘artefacts’ can have more to them than first report suggested. It’s not a perfect world we live in and not even the experts get it right all the time.

A lot of that doesn’t mean anything to me, but when I was first diagnosed the MRI of my brain showed no examples of MS plaques, but my spinal cord in my cervical spine had two or three of them.
