ME or MS everyday different but the same ..

So im in limbo land awaiting tests etc … sometimes im 100% convinced i have MS as apart from problems with my eyes at some point or another i have had all the other MS symptoms …

But last week for example i was quite bad numb face , pain in legs , weak arms , lots of pain in my jaw/face (a new sysmptom for me) , ms hug …

This week however in comparison im much better and have my standard issues weakness and pain . And ita these times which i then start doubting its MS and could be ME/CFS.

Ive pushed myself this weel being half term … went for a small walk weds and in the evening was struggling with pain etc and yet the day after i took the kids to a theme park so lots of walking around and i wasnt half as bad ? Is this normal with MS to go up and down so much every other day?

When do you meet with a neurologist for a diagnosis? Have you had an MRI? It’s waaay too early to be talking yourself into a condition without appropriate medical basis.

Hi, @Mrsbettyrabbitt, do you mind me asking what tests you are waiting for. I ask because a diagnosis of some illnesses not just ms comes on the back of ruling other things out and determining other illnesses by the results of specific tests.

As much as you would like someone to say that is how I feel and you have or don’t have ms, only a neurologist can say with any certainty.

Whilst you sort out getting some meaningful appointments etc., we are a friendly bunch and if we don’t have the answers can certainly listen

It was the GP that stated they believe i have MS at oresent i am awaiting and appoibtment for neurology and an MRI . Which have been sent thriugh separately by ny GP so im assuming the different tests will be discussed when i meet eith the neurologist .

Sounds like your doctor has got the ball rolling for you.

Hopefully, the waiting won’t be too long, as summer comes you may even get cancellation offered. A tip I read recently on this forum , that once you get a neurologist’s name you may be able to ask for a cancellation. It is something I am considering.
