Mavenclad (Cladribine) DMT - here we go!

I’m due to start Mavenclad anytime soon.

I’m pleased il be doing it over the spring/summer as less bugs about and windows open in buildings and meet up with people outside etc.

But i’m super worried about how il cope at work. I work 3 day a week as a dental receptionist/occasional dental nursing. How did you manage isolating and being careful while your immune system was low and working?

And did you get any further symptoms after you doses of the treatment?

Hi @francis.anastasia

I’m so sorry for the delay in replying.

I coped quite well, and personally chose to carry on ‘as normal’, so didn’t isolate, but did try to avoid people who had a cold and such. I know some people choose to wear a face mask while taking the treatment if they are out and about.

The only thing I have noticed a change in is my energy levels and tiredness, so that might something to keep an eye on - but I think a lot of that is due to white blood cells being lower. I had a flare up of altered sensations in my face and a little bit of double vision, but that cleared up after a few weeks - I have been going through quite a stressful time, so it was probably because of that.

Wishing you all the best with it, I’m sure you will be fine :hugs:

Thankyou so much for your experience, it’s very helpful.

I’m due to start in 2 weeks time, so i’m pleased it will be spring/summer whilst im on it and have to be careful. I plan on avoiding big events that involve crowds, going into London etc and trying to keep meet-ups out doors.

Work i can’t do much about but uk be extra vigilant with hand hygiene and avoiding people who are ill.

Hopefully not too many side effects along the way :crossed_fingers:t3:
