Left confused

I’ve had various symptoms that come and go and new ones appearing, dragging leg, stomach problems, stiffness, electric shock down my neck at various times, bladder issues (which bothers me the most)extreme urgency without warning, one arm weak, barely write anymore due to my hands, severe itching, eye blurry only one eye, sensation problems and numbness, yesterday I found it really hard to remember anything which was scary, I’ve had various other things that come and go it’s been never ending I had an mri of brain and cervical spine and I saw a consultant end of last week he said I have a narrowed spinal cord, spinal stenosis and I’d now need a mri of my lower spine but he has also referred me to a neurologist as he said I have various white spots at front and back of brain, he just said I could have 2 conditions but a neurologist is the best person to diagnose, I wish I had asked more questions as when I put white spots into Google it said lesions am I reading to much into this, when I read about MS it sounds just like me,

Hi, do you know what type of consultant he is who you saw recently? Just curious as to why you weren`t referred to a neuro in the first instance.

There are other conditions which mimic MS. My neuro tested me for a myriad of rare conditions just to double check. But he said I have a rare type of MS ie spinal.

Let your`s do his work.

Dr Google can be our worst friend.

I was seeing general medicine because I was sent to A&e as I had the episode with my leg and lost feeling in one side, they discovered a lump behind my ear and thought I had a brain tumor which was relieved to find I hadn’t after the mri but he said I needed more tests but he said it was better done with a neurologist thanks for reply

Hi The Gp has found something outside his box of expertise. He’s done the right thing in referring you to a Neuro, no one in the medical profession can learn every aspect so referring is common and not always a sign of something bad. You’ve been sent in the right direction, and that’s what matters at this moment in time. Hope things go well for you. All the best.
