Is it worth bothering GP / MS nurse?

Hi

Might sound a bit stupid - but I’m struggling with pain, numbness and unsteadiness in my legs, neck/spinal pain nd fatigue. Feels like a dampened down version of a relapse (been on Avonex for last 5 months). Usually I get absolutely flattened by relapses and pretty much end up straight into neuro ward. Not sure if its worth bothering my MS nurse as they are always horrendously overworked or whether I should risk a trip to GP (they usually have no idea what to do)

At what point do other people generally concede defeat and get help?

Feel a bit like I’m in limbo

Helen

Hi Helen,

If symptoms are new or old ones that last constantly for over 24 hours I ring the ms nurses, have you had any illness or infection that could be triggering symptoms? Even a water infection can trigger symptoms that aren’t a relapse.Hope your feeling better soon and hope that helps.

Take care

Hi Cheryl

I’m not feeling ‘infectious’ and not having the usual cold/bug which can often bring on a few symptoms. The longer I’m sitting here in the chair, the worse I’m feeling so think I’ll be calling them 1st thing for a chat. Going to attempt the stairs/bed next!
