How to find an MS specialist - good news!

Hi all. Met someone from the MS Society today and she told me about the “Near me” function on this website - I hadn’t even looked! Anyway, one of the things that people often ask on this forum is who they should ask to see; where is their nearest MS specialist? Well, “Near me” tells you! Unclick all the other options so that the map only shows MS specialists then zoom in on your area. Brilliant! Karen x

Yes the near me function is handy Although in the case of ‘Near me’ it lists a Professor, whom I don’t see : at a hospitall I don’t attend  and no mention of the other 3 neurologists (although they are mere consultants  and not professors :ugeek: ) that see PwMS on a regular basis. I suspect this has more to do with the info the MSSoc. has been given by’ the powers that be ’ than anything else I just wouldn’t want people to assume that the only MS specialist in my area is the one listed, especially as he is “an acquired taste” … one of his patient’s descriptions… not mine

It doesn’t list all neurologists (most of whom see patients with MS) - just the MS specialists. Whether or not it’s all MS specialists, I don’t know. Probably not. But if you don’t know where to start, it’s a really useful tool. Kx
