How long does an Ocrevus infusion last?

Hi folks,

I posted a while ago about how my wife wasn’t getting on with Kesimpta and they’re moving her on to an Ocrevus infusion.

The hospital which she’ll have to have her infusion at is a 2 hour drive away and I am wondering how long she can expect to be at the hospital for?

I am also chronically ill and don’t want to get too knackered throughout the day!

Would they also allow me to stay beside her during the infusion? She has a massive phobia of everything medical and is also autistic so will need me there for support.

I’d be appreciative of any advice!

Hey,

She is likely to be put on 2 half doses for her first time and will likely be put on the slow speed I found I was in there for about 6-7 hours on my first dose. Was quicker second time and took maybe 5 hours.

Not sure about if she would be allowed someone with her my best advice would be to call the hospital/infusion centre shes having it and ask and also explain the situation.
