Hi
I am 44 , married father of three, i am lucky enough to live in Pembrokeshire and run my own Bathroom company.
I was registered on this forum before just at Covid beginning times, since then i have been diagnosed with MS following a follow up MRI and Lumbar Puncture
I have been asked to choose which treatment to go fo, i am erring towards Tysabri as although my MS isnt severe at present i think going hard on it is the best way (open to advice tho!)
As for recommendations, I would discuss that with medical professionals (preferably those who know your specifics) Plenty of us here will have opinions and experiences to share but as each of us / our MS / our responses can be different it can be massively varied. I was on Tysabri for some time and there seemed to be no hugely obvious impacts either positive or negative; for all I know it might have had a massive beneficial impact but I just don’t have the tools or skills to make a definitive statement. I hope you get some more useful responses.
All the best
Mick
I couldn’t agree with you more about Tysabri. As I posted recently on another thread, I would be less disabled than I am now if I had been able to start it 20 years ago instead of 10 years ago. But there’s no use worrying about that now: the toothpaste, once it’s left the tube, can’t be got back in again, and it sounds like you have figured that out for yourself already. You’re young, you’re a busy man, you have a young family. You have so many reasons to stay as well as you can be for as long as you can. I wish you well.
