Well, after several weeks, visits from two builders and one chartered surveyor whose area of expertise is building alterations to assist with accessibility for the less mobile, I have an estimate for the work required. £4,600 give or take 15%!
We can’t afford that and can’t get any help with it, so I’ll have to carry on struggling.
We’ve run out of options now.
