Disabled?

probably!

For me at 26 I struggled with this to… but I see I am not as ABLE and at a natural DISadvantage so I guess disabled fits. It makes me feel better about not being as able to do things because it’s for a reason out of my control … x

I hate to refer to myself as disabled but disability law describes MS as a condition which is covered by disability law. This is useful in some ways and bad in others. i don’t regard my self as disabled but if I apply for a new job depending on the questioning I have to declare myself as disabled - if they ask something like “do you have a condition covered by disability law” If they ask “are you registered disabled” I don’t answer yes.

However the fact that MS is covered by disability law has helped me get my employer to agree to a reduction of hours to help me manage the MS better.

I’ve had to take an unpalatable dose of reality. MS screwed my knee tracking for years and now I have two replacements. I can’t blame my knees anymore for not being able to stand up for long. It’s broken my heart, having to start asking for help or changes. due to the invisible desease.

im trying to improve my balance, holding on to Mr altos wrists while I jump or hop. It’s helping a lot.

. I wish there was a way to explain ms in Catalan. The choir director speaks castellano and Catalan and very little English. I don’t want to be classed as disabled. My ms has affected my memory and spatial awareness and my legs, but fampyra works for me. It doesn’t solve the standing up. 5 minutes of standing still = total loss of higher brain function. I can see, but not well. I can’t concentrate or balance.
