Hey, Well, my thighs are saying a big ‘no thanks’ to Copaxone. Massive itchy lumps that then bruise. I’m massaging them a lot the days after. It’s funny how different sites react like this. I don’t know if it’s because there is less fat and more muscle? L x
Ihave the same reaction on my legs aswell and my thighs are chunky so plenty to bite into but as you say realy itchy and bruise very easily also bleed a bit i have tried to lower the needle but just the same i am using the injection pen and my copaxone nurse has said if you do it manualy it is better for site reaction but havent been brave enough to try that yet . Take care katy
When I do my legs I just pinch my skin and it just flares up as though I’ve been stung my nettles if you like, but when I pinch my skin a little I don’t get the feel the need to itch. Same in my stomach
It is strange. I use the auto injector, not brave enough for manual either ;-). I’m seeing my treatment nurse in a couple of weeks so may give it a ago then. L x
My legs react more than my stomach/bum too. Don’t be scared of manually injecting, I was terrified at the thought but the needle is so fine I honestly can’t even feel it go in. There is absolutely no resistance to the needle from my skin either, it slides right in. Give it a go, I think you will be surprised. Good luck Sue x
I’ve been thinking about not using my thighs any more cause the site reactions are so bad. I’m covered in bruises. My thighs are chunky too but I suppose less obviously fatty than hips and tum! I manually inject - it’s a doddle (although backs of arms are a bit tricky)
