Diagnosed with MS without any Symptoms.

Hi,
I’m 27 years old. I had burning sensation in my tongue as if it got burnt with hot food. And my GP referred to Neurologist and they diagnosed RRMS (5 lesions in Brain and one small in Spine and CSF fluid test came with positive Oligoclonal bands)two months back. But they say this symptom what i had was not because of MS but because of vitamin deficiency. My B12 levels and Vitamin D levels were very low. I started taking vitamin tablets and my tongue became normal. But since they diagnosed MS i am planning to start DMT (Interferon Beta) from next week. I’m more worried about the side effects of the injection. Luckily they identified my disease in very early stage so i havent had an episode yet (Touch wood). So what can I expect as the side effects of the injections.

Hi Kiru, wow that is very quick for a diagnosis. But the lesions must have been enough.

Ive had PPMS 25 years and it took 22 to ger a diagnosis. My cervical and thoracic lesions were hiding!.

I havent had any treatment, so I cant tell you anything about them.

Boudssx

22 years to diagnose? That’s a lot. And I hope you are doing fine.
