Hey, I was wondering if anyone could help me? Im a 21 year old female student who is going through the process of being diagnosed with MS. This all started in September when I had a severe migraine, confusion, all the general symptoms then lost vision in my right eye. After an MRI scan I was told I had MS and should see a neurologist which I did. He then performed a second MRI which he concluded did not show MS but he found it weird how the first one did and I had all the symptoms. Since then Ive had a lumber puncture and I am currently waiting on the results. Has anyone else had an experience like this? and if so, how long did diagnosis take? As I mentioned before I am a student and the severe tiredness (not the normal lazy student kind) is taking over my life, I am always tired no matter how long I have slept for and the headaches and muscle stiffness are quite bad. All I need is a little clarity as my mum seems to think that no news is good news. I just need to know whats happening and if its not MS what it could be?
Hello Rachel, What sort of headache do you get, is it a thumping head or pain on top of your head, or maybe over your eyes/forehead. I ask as I have SPMS and Hughes Syndrome (APS). You get fatigue with both diseases so it’s hard to surmise which it could be. If it is MS it would show up on a MRI. Hope this helps. Good luck and keep us up to date please. Janet x
Hi I’m new to this site, and I’m sorry if this message is long. I wonder if anyone might be able to help, I have typical symptons of ms so if been told, my eye sight has deteriorated I have no field vision just been registered partially sighted, I get numbness in my face feels like a stroke, pins and needles down arm and leg, right side, I get what I call dead leg very painful,my balance is very bad and terrible fatigue, also strange feeling of water running down my leg, all this , now iv been to a neurologist had mri vep and lumbar puncture which all came back clear by all accounts, the Neuro has now sent me to another Neuro who can do other tests I’m now starting to get tremors in arm and leg… he said he’s not convinced of results so needs a second opinion. Is it possible that I might have m s as Neuro first mentioned…
