After suffering 28 years of MS, I’find myself battling with the complications of this altul disease. I’ve had pneumonia, chest infection Sam bed sores, numerous times! Now they tell me I’ve got osteomyelitis( a bone infection} to finish me off. I have morphine 4 times a day for the horrific pain. Does anyone know how long I got to put up with this until I die? Oh angie what a sad message to wake up too. Who can say really? i live in sheltered accommodation. Was talking before xmas to a lovely lady who had just moved here 2 weeks later she died of a massive heart attack, i was so shocked she was really healthy and walked her dog everyday. A lady opposite me sadly went the same way. Death takes us over no matter whether we are healthy or not.
Sometimes just being in pain is really waring no matter the level of it. who is with you? You must have carers. Do you have family etc? Seems to me you should be with someone who can arrange you palliative care.
I will be honest with you. My husband fought COPD for years. He was fine when he retired at 71, and went off to IOW to see a bungalow we wanted to buy to retire. He had no chest infection nothing. (he had them constant) and was pretty ok and active. he went on wednesday, came home thursday, and passed away on Monday 3rd october. I still never got over it.
anyway doesnt help you but death comes when you are ready I suppose, i know he had been depressed and was frustrated at times he couldnt do what he wanted to do. If you want to talk we can talk send a message. BUT i hope you are not on your own. I can only send you a huge hug but gentle one. Your message was so poignant and to the point it quite touched me.
