Just going through diagnosis and unsure of what is actually diagnosed.
I have 3 lesions on my spine medulla t2 and 3 and c2 .no lesions on brain mri
Also being tested for ulnar neuropathy
Letter reads diagnosis transverse myelitis and waiting on lumbar puncture and bloods
Just unsure what this actually means
Hi @martinac . Sounds like something you’ll have to ask your neurologist. Not having lesions on your brain sn’t uncommon though. If you have a look at some of the blogs on the ms society website, you’ll find people there with only lesions on their spine too. If you don’t understand the letter, try ringing the consultants secretary to get an answer. Wishing you all the best in deciphering the letter you received and hopefully someone will be able to explain to you exactly what it means.
Hi there. , I’m no medic but the fact that the letter doesn’t mention MS is good. I expect you have looked up Transverse Myelitis so you will know as much as I do.
So far as I know ulnar neuropathy is more akin to something like repetitive strain injury but affecting the nerves and not at all related to transverse myelitis
