I’ve been looking for the best walking stick recently and there are so many options that it’s hard to know what actually makes a difference. For me, comfort and stability are the main things. I don’t really want something that feels too heavy, but at the same time it needs to feel strong and secure when walking outside. Do a search on eBay for “Ultimate Magic Cane”. Has a spread base for stability and also able to stand on its own. Height adjustable, lightweight and in collapsible sections, they are just too useful. Even have a torch!
All for about £13 incl. delivery. At that price, I have 1 upstairs, 1 down, 1 in the car and a spare. And when one wears out, get another one!
Finding the right balance of comfort and stability is definitely the most important part when looking for a reliable walking aid.
