Wonder if you have any tips or advice - i have recently been diagnosed and have just started on my tablets. I am only taking 120 once a day at the moment and then building up to 240 twice a day. This morning i took my tablet at 8am and at about 11.30 i was completely bright red, hot flushing and had a rash which lasted about an hour - do you know how long this lasts for? Thank you
Thanks for coming back to me, yes I have been really lucky getting my meds so fast - i will try the aspirin tomorrow, fingers crossed it will help 
Try 2 course meals and take your tec between courses sort of trap it between 2 lots of food.
I devised this method because I had a charming habit of projectile vomiting!
You can ask for more of the low dose pills as it seems to be moving onto the higher dose that causes problems.

I’ve been on it just over three months now. Exactly like you at the start. It took a while to settle down but is much more manageable now so hang in there it should get a lot better once your body gets used to it.
I noticed that snacking within a couple of hours of taking my first dose of the day would bring on the flushing, so I don’t eat between breakfast and lunch now and that’s really helped bring the number of flushes down x

I’ve been prescribed Tecfidera but not started taking it as like you I was told to start with 120’s but they only sent 240’s my MS nurse advised me to wait until I received the 120’s.
As far as advice goes everyone I’ve spoken to regarding this medication says to eat high protein food with it. As an example one person told me they had developed a serious peanut butter habit which for them had worked really well.

peanut butter is perfect for taking with tecfidera.
it has protein and fat.
it is delicious and can be enhanced by adding marmite! (this really ought to be tried)!

Hope your well. Thanks for asking I’m just the same as you’ve read I haven’t started the Tec yet due to not receiving any 120’s I’m sure they will get them to me soon.
