Ankle pain

I have recently been diagnosed after my symptoms got very bad and I ended up in hospital for 10 days. I was given a 3 day course of steroids. I am now back at home but my symptoms continue ( numbness in legs and feet, major balance issues and inability to walk). This week a bad pain has started in my left ankle and i feel like it is not supporting me. I am so worried that I am getting worse. Has anyone else experienced this? any advice will be happily received! thanks xx
