I have been on Zeposia since I was diagnosed in 2022. I was doing fine but had a relapse over the summer. I went back to my baseline but my nuero reccomended switching to Ocrevus. I had my first infusion in December and all my symptoms came back ten-fold. My Nuero said do the second half and you will start feeling better. Well I did my second half and I feel worse than I have since being diagnosed. I am supposed to get another infusion next month but I am questioning all my life decisions. I try to find something on bad experiences with Ocrevus but all I seem to find is how great it is. Is there anyone else who actually felt worse after? Should I move forward with the next infusion hoping I feel better on this one? Any advice would be great. Thanks
Hey there
Not sure if you went ahead or not but I see no one replied to you. I’ve had RRMS since 2007 and recently been diagnosed with SPMS. Had my first (half) dose of Ocrevus last week. The infusion went well. Straight after it wasn’t too bad, just an increase in fatigue but then I started with red cheeks and chest and all of my symptoms came on strong. My cog fog and back pain has been terrible but I do feel like I’m starting to get better which leads me to believe that it’s just my body adjusting itself. ![]()
Next week I go for the final half so will see what happens.
The main reason I’m doing this is to try and minimise the chance of ending up in a wheelchair. I’m aware that it’s not supposed to make me feel better with my day to day symptoms (too many to list) but that it should be cutting down my chances of progression.
Time will tell
Not sure if any of that was worth anything to you. All the best and I hope you’re on a good path now.
