Poll, you should never have been diagnosed with HSP before genetic testing was done.

I’m with a Professor in neurogenetics and HSP was part of my probable diagnosis amongst others.

I had 17 samples of blood taken to check for various genetic disorders and codes. Some of the results take 6 months to come back.

To be perfectly honest I’m now at sod a diagnosis. My Mum has been in ITU all week and it’s put things into perspective.

Hi Jaqui, thankyou love, for taking the time to reply to me, especially with having your mum in hospital. i do hope she is on the recovery road now.

i agree with what you say about getting a dx of HSP. The neuro who said I had HSP did do lots of blood tests and then he confirmed the dx.

it was some time after that that he decided to dismiss his dx. he wrote this in my notes, but NEVER told me and the he swanned off to another hospital, to upset someone else no doubt!

When I asked about genetic testing, he said there was no point having it done! What a numpty!

Now this latest round of stupidity…the neuro is urging me to go for genetic testing! They are a total waste of space in my eyes now.

They contradict each other and ought to be ashamed of themselves, the way they turn lives upside down without a second thought!

Yeh, Im chuffing fed up of the lot of em!
