Walking

Hello.

It’s the end of another day and my mind is racing.

I’ve been thinking about walking. I miss the dexterous nuances that only feet and legs can give you. Here are more of my thoughts.

Best wishes, steve.

Good Blog Steve. I’ve often stated at people walking and analysed how they manage to walk across a carpark with shopping and manage to keep their balance while making it look so easy. I regret how I took it for granted, all those years of doing my sons paper round or walking backwards and forwards to school, never imagining that I would ever find it difficult and often impossible to do. I still have some mobility in my own home so I can’t complain but as soon as I set foot outside my front door my brain cannot process slopes or walking in the open without something to hold on to even a rollater is hopeless because my legs are weak and my vision double and balance hopeless. Thank goodness for my powerchair now I’ve got used to it it’s my legs. Michelle x

I too enjoy your blogs Steve.

I agree Michelle, how did we ever manage to walk without thinking about it and appreciating it. I’m not at the wheelchair stage but my family are suggesting I do need some sort of walking aid. My mum and a friend keep telling me to apply for a blue badge. I suppose I still kind of expect it all to go away
