ITS A FULLY MOTORISED STANDING AND FULLY RECLINE MODEL.THE COMPANY EASYCARE PRODUCTS LTD HAS SHUT DOWN WITHOUT NOTICE.THE EMAILS GO UNANSWERED THE PHONE IS DEAD.THE WEBSTE WAS STILL UP - BUT THE COMPANY IS NO MORE…I NOW HAVE PROBLEMS AS I HAVE ONE THAT HAS BROKEN…ANY ONE WHO CAN OFFER ANY ADVICE / HELP / IDEAS PLEASE REPLY TO THIS POST…THE SITE WHERE I FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS IS…APPARELYZED…in search box select forums and type genie…this gives more info…
It may not be any use (and you did not say just what the problem was), but I would be trying to get my nearest Forklift Hire Company interested. Most electro-mechanical devices are similar in operation. If it is purely mechanical, try your local Model Engineering Society - they usually have several people who would relish a challenge to make something new.
The other obvious approach is someone who makes/services powered wheelchairs - same logic as above. Plus, trades gossip and another manufacturer my well know what is happening to the Genie brand.

So moving forward,I have the faulty standing Genie wheelchair,can anybody recommend a mobility engineer who has experience of electric standing wheelchairs and may cover the Guildford area…thanks
