Hi Everyone,
Im just looking for a wee bit of advice from anyone with any knowledge of Tysabri.
I’ve been on the drug for 6 months but have recently noticed im having some difficulty with shortness of breath and also some issues with skin rashes.
Has anyone experienced this or aware of these being side effects of Tysabri.
Also taking Pregabalin
Any advice would be appreciated
I also have noticed some skin rashes! Thought it could be an allergy but. I am on tsabri and your post has got me wonderin if it could be tsabri. I have had 17 infusions but didn’t notice anything for months. I am curious to hear what people have to say on this matter
Hi guys I have no personal experience with tysabri but have done LOTS of research into all the dmds and remember reading that one of the more common side effects is urticaria an itchy skin rash. Also that a rash and difficulty breathing could be a less common symptom of an allergic reaction. Probably best to see your nurse/gp/neuro just to be safe. Hth Laura x

I have been on tysabri for a year and a half. I have areas of sore skin which flare up about 7 days after my infusion and settle just before my next one…I am putting them down to the tysabri, but I am no Dr…Lol

I am on Tysabri and have just read the patient information leaflet.
Itchy rash (hives) effects about 1 in 10 patients, but a serious infection can cause shortness of breath and you need to contact your neuro or your GP with your Alert Card as soon as you can.

I used to get that way at the start for the first 6 months or so I didn’t get a shortness in breath just the rash and it was only on the inside of my forearm in the arm where I got the infusion but it was gone the next morning thats the only side affect I’ve ever had with it an I’ll be on it 5 years this August.

Hi ive also been on tysabri for six months. The only thing i get is a headache the next day after an infusion. I suppose it affects people in different ways though.

I know this thread is old but I found it and figured for research/reference etc I would share my experience;
I have just had my 29th infusion and I would say that, for AT LEAST 20 of them, I have experienced many side effects (regardless, they are much more preferable to the alternative!) and whilst I don’t experience rashes as such but I keep getting spots (verging on boils at times) on my neck and ocasionally on my tummy. I have never been a spotty person so to start now at 35 is a bit disconcerting! :-/
I also have painful and itchy tears and splits to my skin, particularly on my hands. Whilst I partly put this down to perhaps over-washing of my hands for fear of contamination and/or infection, I know that these originated from Tysabri.
Does anybody else experience this? I havent found any direct suggestion of how common it is…
