SPMS is there a drug treatment

Now I had the same thoughts this morning about RR MS. Simply because I have always been unsteady, faint… Now I wonder if MS was not thought about earlier. Just a thought. jan

I have Bowen Therapy every week at an MS Centre in Chadwell Heath. The therapy means I have no night pain for about 5 days. When the centre was shut for the holiday I had no Bowen Treatment. Well, I assume the Centre subsidises the cost. Now it seems to me that if Bowen works for me and others why can’t it be given by the NHS? Especially since, really there is not anything else. Jan

Now I’ve just read that Rebif is given in Australia for SPMS so whatever happens here?

In australia they give Rebif.

Hi Jan,

My mistake, it is betaferon and not Rebif that can be given in SPMS but it is approved by the EU for SPMS too. No idea if it is also approved by your NHS or NICE etc but betaferon has been shown effective in early stage SPMS especially where there are still ovelying relapses.
