sea shanties

Who can come up with more songs which are sea related, other than these (then I`ll tell you why I ask);

wont you let me take you on a sea cruise, ooowee ooowee baby…

I`d like to get you on a slow boat to China…

We are sailing…

I saw 3 ships come sailing in…

the owl and the pussy cat went to sea…

“The Sea” (la Mer) Bobby Darrin

“What will we do with a drunken sailor”

“Seven Seas of Rye”

Only one of these is - of course - a sea shanty.

Of course “Under the Sea” from the Little Mermaid

and, "Bobbing along (on the bottom of the beautiful briney sea) from Bedknobs and Broomsticks

“We all live in a Yellow Submarine” and “Octopusses Garden” by the Beatles.

Should I stop now?

“I want to Marry a LightHouse Keeper”???

And what about the original La Mer by Charles Trenet?

i watched a programme following a group of sea shanty singers on tour.

their concerts looked really good fun.

it’s good when people try to keep traditions alive.

can’t remember any of the songs except drunken sailor and blow the man down.

Cheers all.

I’ve only gone and booked a minicruise for next year!

I know…crazy in it?

My first cruise.

What with that and Barcelona this September, I’m so adventurous!

By the way, I’ve joined the Disabled Cruise Club. They were so helpful. What really surprised me is that they match P&O’s price!
