respite break

Hi all!

On Thursday I am going for 6 nights respite. Head`s been tumbled about, as daughter no. 1 is returning home to live, due to ill health.

Hubby is so busy re-decorating and fitting a new window for her in the bedroom she had when she was 16…she`s 48 next week!

He`ll get a much needed rest I hope.

Home to mum and dad for some tlc…I hate empty nesting anyway!

Hi Boudica, enjoy your break, and I hope your daughter will feel better back in her old room. I’m sure she’ll be glad of the love and support - not to mention the new window. Ginge

Hi ,

Have a really lovely break. You really deserve one.

How nice to have your daughter home.

Take care,

Jen

Good luck Hopefully a positive experience for all

Hi Boudica,

Delightful news, I hope you keep up your prodigious mailings to this forum during your ‘incarceration’.

I actually telephoned the MS helpline last week asking about respite homes for me within a 60 mile radius as my wife could do with a break. My usual respite bolthole over the last 10 years has been two weekly stints at the local hospice but they can’t see any care being offered this year at least.

Just today (Thursday) I have had a lovely reply from the MS support team with links to follow up so I hope to be as successful as you are.

Enjoy.

Regards, Stephen

Thankyou all for your kind replies.

Any joy Stephen?
