Are people diagnosed with ms who are relapsing remitting always go on to secondary & primary progressive?
I’ve read different numbers so this is far from precise(!), but about 50-65% of people diagnosed with RRMS will go on to develop SPMS, typically within 10-15 years.
PPMS means progressive MS right from the beginning. It has nothing to do with RRMS.
(RRMS = relapsing remitting. SPMS = secondary progressive. PPMS = primary progressive.)
