Good luck! Let us know how you get on
MRI was last Thursday… interesting experience. Im not worried by confined spaces but I imagine if you were a MRI would be a nightmare. Was in there for an hour, but seemed like 20 minutes, Im sure I napped in there.
My only discomfort was a bloody itch on my leg that I obviously couldn’t scratch…oh well.
Results tomorrow.
Well got my MRI results today - some good news and bad, but overall I’m happy !!!
In the words of the Neuro - No sign of anything sinister, no evidence of MS (he mentioned that without prompting), tumours, brain disease or ‘serious’ cervical/spin disease…however my neck has a bulging disc and I have early signs of arthritis in one of my vertebrae which is already impinging on a nerve canal. The bad news is, is that none of this accounts for my symptoms…in the Neuros words again ‘you are very healthy apart from these odd symptoms.’
All my new blood tests : vits, hormone, too many to recount etc etc all normal.
Soooooo I suppose I must just see what happens over the next few months or years.
I am ultimately very relieved but disappointed that I have no definitive cause or remedy. Hello Limbo land!
Thanks to everyone for your support over these dark days, your kind words and opinions have been comforting and helpful.
PS - (Had a ENT consultation today as well, Vertigo caused by the inner ear was ruled out…
MRI results in - read above!
Hi, I didnt see your post back in August, but have caught up with you now.
Limboland is a place inhabited by many many members here…including me, except that I now know i dont have MS…of any kind.
welcome aboard hunny!
luv Pollx
Thanks Boudica…
Over these past months and with all my consultations, not one Neuro, ENT or GP has mentioned Anxiety/Stress/MS as a possible cause, which I have found positive…I too have tried to be disciplined and also tried to not mention any of them fearing the label ‘hypochondriac’. I know I dont fit with the classic MS symptoms, but thats not stopped me worrying unduly…especially after reading one case where ‘pins and needles alone’ lead to a Brain MRI full of lesions and a MS diagnosis.
I know that by no means does all of the above tests rule out MS, but with each ‘clear’, ‘normal’ and ‘negative’ result, takes me a step further away from a clear positive MS diagnosis.
I suppose like many here in Limboland its a waiting game… one that I hope I’ll win!
