Hi. I’ve had MS for nearly 10years now.
Seem to have a relapse every 2.5-3years. I’ve had nerve pain in my left leg for over a year now. But the last 3weeks it seems to have upped it’s game. Horrific nerve pain in my left leg (including spasms) and my left arm from my fingers to my elbow (bad enough that the slightest knock has me in agony for 30 minutes) I’ve had drop foot on my left for a few years which is entertaining but now I’m struggling to even walk the length on myself. I’m 34 so this is very frustrating now and sometimes quite embarrassing in public when my leg just gives up I’m not sure whether this is a relapse or permanent. I guess only time will tell
Assuming you are on a DMD, have you discussed the possibility of changing to something more effective with your neuro, because you are still relapsing?
The best solution to drop foot I have found is the ingenious FES. Your GP can refer you for assessment.
I hope you get the answers you need.
I have a phone call with the MS nurse on Monday. (They usually just note it on the system and that’s it). But I have an appointment with the neuro on 28th so hopefully there’s something he can do
I just spotted the link sorry
I am on Copaxone 40mg 3times a week. I had a baby 4months ago so not sure if it because I haven’t been on it for so long I’ve been back on it for 2months. This has been getting gradually worse over the past few weeks. Not a sudden onset so I’m not 100% about a relapse…what is FES?
